As a business traveler who travels back and forth to Guangzhou all year round, I have stayed in more than a dozen hotels in Tianhe District. This accidental stay at Jianguo Hotel Guangzhou directly refreshed my understanding of old five-star hotels - there are no flashy internet celebrity gimmicks, all are practical and thoughtful details. After staying for five consecutive days, I completely lost the fatigue of previous business trips.
Just got off the high-speed train and walked out of Guangzhou East Station. It took ten minutes to arrive at the hotel, so you didn't have to drag your luggage and take a taxi during rush hour. As soon as you entered the door, you relieved the annoyance of rushing. The front desk staff recognized me as an online booked guest at a glance and completed the check-in procedures in two minutes. Knowing that I had been staying for five consecutive days, they proactively upgraded me to a quiet room on a higher floor and even reminded me that "Guangzhou has been hot lately, and the refrigerator in the room has already frozen two bottles of mineral water in advance". The moment I opened the door, there was no stuffy smell of many business hotels. The air conditioner was adjusted to 24 degrees in advance, and the wind was fresh and not dry. Even the desk was polished bright, without any residual dust.
The layout of the room is particularly tailored to the needs of the guests, with a 40 square meter space that is not a waste at all. The large desk by the window is equipped with ergonomic chairs, and even a two-hour online meeting won't make your waist ache. The bedding is made of high count cotton that is relatively hard and fits snugly around the waist and neck. As someone who is accustomed to sleeping on a soft bed during business trips, I have been sleeping for five consecutive days. The most surprising thing was the small sofa by the window. After finishing work, I collapsed on it and looked up to see the night view of Tianhe Sports Center. The CBD lights in the distance lit up a bit, even relieving my tense nerves after a whole day.
The supporting experience completely exceeded expectations. The water quality of the 25 meter indoor constant temperature swimming pool is so clean that you can see the patterns on the bottom of the pool. The low chlorine formula does not cause any discomfort to your eyes after swimming. I swim for half an hour every day after work, relieving all the work pressure of the whole day. The 24-hour gym equipment is all imported, and even yoga mats and elastic bands are provided for free, so you don't have to bring your own equipment to practice. The buffet breakfast in the hotel is authentic Cantonese style, with steamed shrimp dumplings, freshly baked pineapple oil, and boiled submarine congee. They are eaten in different patterns every day, and they haven't been repeated for five days.
The most striking aspect is the sense of propriety in the service, which does not excessively disturb, but always accurately meets your needs. I hung my dirty suit behind the door when I went out, but when I came back, I found that it had been ironed for free to be neat and straight; One night, I worked overtime until 10 o'clock and casually mentioned to the waiter that I wanted a bowl of mung bean paste. Within ten minutes, a refreshing bowl of Cantonese style mung bean paste was delivered to my room; I accidentally left the document in the hotel lobby, but the cleaning lady noticed it and immediately delivered it to my room. She even smiled and pushed back the thank-you red envelope I wanted to give.
The location is even more impeccable. You can walk 10 minutes to Linhe West Subway Station, and three stops directly to Tiyu West. All around you are time-honored brands that have been running for more than ten years. After work, you can take a walk to eat a bowl of Wonton noodles. You don't have to take a detour to punch in. I used to think that staying in a hotel for a business trip was just to make do with it, but this time I discovered at Jianguo Hotel Guangzhou that a good accommodation experience can make the continuous days of business trips feel like a leisurely vacation. Next time I come to Guangzhou, I will definitely choose this place.Show more
Before coming to Guangzhou to play, my biggest headache was the traffic congestion in Tianhe District. When choosing a hotel, I specifically chose the Jianguo Hotel Guangzhou next to Guangzhou East Station. After staying, I immediately exclaimed: I chose the right place to stay, so I don't have to waste time on commuting. The time I saved can have three more morning teas.
The location of the hotel is simply the C-position transportation hub of Tianhe. It takes only 8 minutes to walk from Exit J of Guangzhou East Station to the hotel. You don't need to transfer after getting off the high-speed train and dragging your luggage. Just walk a few steps along Linhe Middle Road, and you don't have to wander around in the subway station. Two hundred meters from the entrance is the bus stop, with over a dozen bus routes covering the entire city. Just get on the bus and go wherever you want. Friends who drive here are even more worry free. The hotel comes with a super large exclusive parking lot. In the core area of Tianhe, which charges 30 yuan per hour for parking, guests can enjoy free parking rights without having to wander around for half an hour to find a parking space. This alone can save a lot of money.
The most outstanding thing is its subway coverage density. You can walk 10 minutes to Line 1, the north extension of Line 3, and the APM line, three stops to the Sports West Business District, six stops to the Pearl River New City, and take the APM line 15 minutes to the foot of the Guangzhou Tower. If you want to visit the old city area, take Line 1 for 20 minutes directly to Chenjiaci and Shangxiajiu. If you want to go to Pazhou to see exhibitions, transfer from Line 3 to Line 8 for half an hour. Even if you catch an early flight to Baiyun Airport and take Line 3 North Extension from Guangzhou East Station, you can directly reach the airport terminal in 25 minutes, without worrying about traffic jams and missed flights during the morning rush hour.
The surrounding area is even more pedestrian friendly. It takes only 3 minutes to walk downstairs to Tianhe Sports Center. In the morning, you can run two laps along the track and meet many Lao Guang who do morning exercises. In the evening, you can also go in to watch a game. Walk east for 10 minutes to reach Dongfang Baotai Shopping Plaza, which is crowded with internet famous stores, supermarkets, and cinemas. If you want to go shopping, just lift your foot to reach it. Walk west for 15 minutes and head straight into the Liuyun community in Tianhe South. There are dozens of coffee shops, time-honored sugar and water shops, and specialty snack shops hidden in the alleys, all trying different ways for three days without looking the same.
The food resources are extremely dense. Within a 5-minute walk, there are three old-fashioned morning tea shops that have been open for more than ten years. You don't have to wake up early and queue up, you can just go downstairs and enjoy freshly steamed shrimp dumplings. When I came back from shopping in the middle of the night, Wonton noodles shops and Chaoshan casserole Congee stalls were open on the roadside, so I could have a hot supper a few steps away. I want to check in at an internet famous restaurant. It only takes 10 minutes by taxi to reach Xingsheng Road Food Street, without having to cross half a city. After a walk, I can easily walk back to the hotel.
In the past, when I came to Guangzhou to play, I always wasted a lot of time on taking the subway and taking a taxi. This time, I stayed at Jianguo Hotel Guangzhou and realized that choosing the right hotel with convenient transportation does not require complicated travel plans. Going downstairs, you can catch all the smoke and fire from Tianhe, and when you go out, you can directly reach all the popular landmarks in the city. The saved commuting time has all become the joy of strolling and eating steadily. Next time I come to Guangzhou, I will definitely choose to stay here.Show more
I came to Tianhe, Guangzhou to connect with the project and stayed for three consecutive days at Jianguo Hotel Guangzhou. Originally, I only chose it because it was close to the high-speed railway station, but I didn't expect every detail from entering to checking out to exude the charm of an old five-star hotel, without the restlessness of many new hotels. In the end, I even felt a bit reluctant to leave.
Just as I dragged my suitcase to the hotel entrance, the doorman came up to pick up my luggage and asked me with a smile if I had just arrived from the East Station. He reminded me that there was free herbal tea at the elevator entrance that I could drink to relieve the heat first. When checking in, the front desk specially arranged a high-rise room far away from the elevator for me. They said, 'If you need to stay up late for a business trip and change your plan, please sleep quietly here.' They also handed me two coupons for the hotel's buffet dinner and told me that the seafood stall had just launched new oysters that day, so I could try them tonight.
At the moment of opening the door, the exhaustion of the journey dissipated for the most part. The space of over 40 square meters is spacious and orderly, without redundant fancy decorations. The warm toned lighting falls on the solid wood furniture, exuding a full sense of home. The bedding made of high count cotton has just the right softness and hardness. I worked overtime until late at night for two consecutive days, and within a few minutes of lying down, I could fall into a deep sleep without any insomnia like in a strange hotel. The size of the desk is particularly spacious, equipped with ergonomic chairs, which can even hold a two-hour online meeting without causing discomfort to the waist. There is also a free Cantonese herbal tea bag nearby, which can be brewed for a cup and even relieve most of the summer heat.
The details of the bathroom area are impeccable, with a complete separation of dry and wet areas. Kohler's sanitary ware has stable and soft water output, and hot water can be quickly released without waiting. The hotel uses a whole house soft water system, so the skin will not feel tight or itchy after taking a shower. The matching pure cotton towels are fluffy and thick, without the strange feeling of hard and sticky hair after repeated use. I paid special attention to the gaps in the corners and couldn't find any dust or water stains at all. It was evident that I had done a very solid job in daily cleaning and was particularly friendly to someone like me who is sensitive to hygiene.
The supporting experience exceeded expectations. The 25 meter indoor constant temperature swimming pool has clean and transparent water quality, and the low chlorine formula makes your eyes feel completely comfortable after swimming. If you get tired, you can get free lemon water by leaning against the pool. The gym equipment that is open 24 hours a day is all imported, so even if you go over after 9 o'clock, you can still run quietly for half an hour to relieve fatigue. The buffet breakfast in the hotel is authentic Cantonese style. The steamed shrimp dumpling has a whole shrimp after being bitten, and the Congee is cooked well. Even I, an old man who is used to eating local morning tea, feel that it is authentic.
The most striking aspect is the sense of propriety in the service, which does not excessively disturb, but always appears when you need it. The files I left on my desk when I went out were gently tidied up by the cleaning lady when I came back, and a bottle of chilled mineral water was quietly placed next to them. One night when I worked overtime until ten o'clock, I casually mentioned to the front desk that I wanted to eat a bowl of Wonton noodles. Within ten minutes, a bowl of hot Cantonese Wonton noodles was delivered to my room, and the price was more affordable than that of an old brand outside.
I used to think that staying in a hotel was just a temporary stay, but this time at Jianguo Hotel Guangzhou, I realized that a good accommodation experience is never about piling up high-end amenities, but about giving you a solid sense of relaxation in a strange city. It's not like a hurried stopover, but more like a temporary home in Tianhe. The next time I come to Guangzhou, I will definitely stay here again.Show more
